Italy

AAHHHH Italia!

I’ve been day dreaming of the day I get to go back. The food, the wine, the history, the architecture, the people. All of it was an absolute DREAM! I learned how to make ravioli from scratch. I learned all about wine from a Sommelier (the freakin sweetest man ever!) and got to drink genuine Italian espresso in a cappuccino the Italian way. Traveling has always been something I want to do more of. Get out of my comfort zone and explore and experience different cultures and people and life outside of my tiny bubble. I tend to be a bit of a homebody and get comfy in my routines. Don’t get me wrong there’s nothing wrong with being introverted, but it was SO good for me to be out of my comfort zone out of the country. I traveled with a group of women, my mom being one of them, and it was different. For starters I wasn’t with Ben, my husband and best friend, which was hard for me. Then our luggage was lost and I was left with no clothes, toiletries, etc. From now on I will always make sure I have a back up outfit/toiletries on my carry-on JUST in case.

Our luggage showed up after a couple days and all was good! I could fully enjoy our trip in the comfort of my own clothes, but really could I have been any more out of my comfort zone?! Here is just a few of my favorite photos from that week back in 2019 aka before the world ended!

Cheers!
